IPD's Fuel Injection Program for Caterpillar Engines! • IPD's experience in fuel injection products started in the very beginning of IPD in 1955. • Our in-house fuel injection facility of over 10,000 square feet is capable of:
– Manufacturing and 100% testing of new IPD capsule style nozzles.
– Assembly and 100% testing of new IPD plunger and barrel assemblies.
– Remanufacturing and 100% testing of IPD pencil and 7000 series nozzles for Caterpillar® applications.
– Remanufacturing of Caterpillar® 3208 timing advance units.
– New fuel lines available for many Caterpillar® applications. IPD fuel lines are zinc plated for added protection. TYPICAL ADVANTAGES OF IPD FUEL INJECTION COMPONENTS FOR CATERPILLAR ENGINES INCLUDES: New Capsule Nozzles: • All materials certified for size, heat treatment quality, plating quality and metallurgy • Nose cones, barrels, seats and inserts are flat lapped. Needle and seat are flat lapped together for proper seal • Pressures are set on each individual nozzle • 100% testing for 5 minutes to check atomization, spray pattern and leakage New Plunger & Barrels: • 100% component parts inspection • Sleeve metering grooves checked for size • 100% testing for fuel flow at starting rpm, low rpm and high rpm • 3208 P & B's matched in sets for optimum performance
